Hungarian Radio Chorus (Choir)

Founded: 1950 - Hungary

The Hungarian Radio Chorus was established in 1950 to perform both unaccompanied and orchestral choral works. Since its foundation the choir has given the first performances of specially written works and has made guest appearances at the Bayreuth, Edinburgh and Salzburg Festivals. The choir has made many recordings, some ten of unaccompanied choral music and many more of choral and orchestral repertoire.
